I wish to share with you people a wonderful thing called TOR, aka The Onion Router.

I've suspected for a long time that people have been watching/safeguarding our every move on the net. >.> And I'm not the only one. A very smart person (who I have had the chance to meet by the way :D) invented some time ago The Onion Router, TOR for short. And it is a beautiful thing because it makes you totally anonymous in the net. You could research anything from how to shampoo your dog to child porn* and nobody will ever know it's you. It's so powerful, it's difficult even for the NSA (or anybody) to hack. And you know what? If they want to go incognito (but for real), they use it too.

How It Works

TOR, when used, will select a totally random path to your final destination (aka the site you want to go to). It'll go from here to there and back again on the network and 'exit' through an Exit Node** (which some really nice guy will have set up). So basically you input your URL in the bar, or you click a link, and TOR will find its way there in the most difficult manner possible.

Why It's Safe

TOR is called The 'Onion' Router for a reason. Literal LAYERS of encryption hide your data. Challenge Accepted? Be my guest.

Why Should You Get It?

Downloading TOR (for free) will not only hide you, but hide others. See, it's still a network, and if your region sees there's a network, they'll block it off (don't worry, there's a solution for that too***). But if MANY people use it, it'll become much and much harder to see where the real 'paths' are. The more, the better.

I'm not advertising or anything. I'm not paid or asked to do this. I simply want to offer a little privacy to my fellow non-Americans who are mad at the injustice of the NSA. You can download it here www.torproject.org/ It's the official site, don't worry. If you TRULY want to be anonymous while using it, READ THE INFORMATION on the site. You may have the invisibility cloak, but you got to hold it over you or it'll just fall off eventually.

Finally...you may not want to buy this because I just stated that it will help others as well, and 'others' implies criminals. And not only that, but you may (by a large margin) not do anything interesting on the net at all. But still, while there ARE criminals, others just want to feel safe, or refuse Big Brother's 'watchful' stare. I'm doing it because I don't want to be followed, and I don't want my data stacked somewhere. It's my life for crying out loud, and I want to keep it.

*I do NOT support this. In fact, I hate it with my heart. But it makes the message more powerful, so bear with me.
**Exit Nodes. While the network is invisible, it has to 'surface' somewhere, like the entrance to an anthill. These Exit Nodes are set up by people around the world. and yes, what you research is on their IP address; they're sticking their neck out, folks.
***This solution is called Bridge Relays. Read about it here: www.torproject.org/docs/bridge… again, official site, no worries.
